Iker is a child from Barcelona, from the school Bon Pastor. On April 2nd he will be in London, in the Tate Modern. He was won the Unilever Prize. His work has different boxes related to his city, his school, his table. The local media talk a lot about him. The young hero of Barcelona.

It must be amazing to go to London so young to exhibit in Tate Modern. Congratulations! Felicitats!

LONDON SUMMIT 2009 by THE.LONDON.CAT

April 2nd 2009 is the date when world leaders will meet in London. Visiting the official website of the London Summit, http://londonsummit.gov.uk you can know more about this summit. Just let me tell you the countries that will join the summit so you can see how important the summit will be: Germany, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, South Corea, Spain, USA, France, Holland, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Czech Republic (EU Presidency) , South Africa and Turkey. Barack Obama will be there.

This summit may influence the lives of future generations and there is one thing that as the webmaster of THE.LONDON.CAT I cannot forget: For the first time in history, BRILIANT IDEAS CAN REACH THE SUMMIT THROUGH INTERNET!

That did not happen before! Now, thanks to Internet, anyone with an idea can write it and it may reach our leaders. If you visit the official site you will find they have made a website with channels in YouTube, Flickr and with a very very good suggestion: to tag with londonsummit2009 any page we find interesting which is related to the topics of the summit. This means that internauts can have a say! This post. for example, has the tag londonsummit2009 and is bookmarked in delicious. So it is easy it reaches people related to the summit!

Taking into account that THE.LONDON.CAT is redirecting just to this post about the London Summit it is quite easy that people remember this place.

So, it is possible thanks to Internet to reach the people related to the summit topics. This is possible but it is NOT ENOUGH.

People can reach so this post BUT this is only THE FIRST STEP.

The SECOND STEP is that what they find here IS OK …,

To be ok means that the content is related to the summit and gives good ideas.

He llegit que hi ha un restaurant a la City on un paga el que vol. Si algú hi ha anat seria interessant saber-ne més. Em recordo que fa uns anys a un McDonalds de l’estació Liverpool Street, ple de gent del món de la City, t’oferien més te a la mateixa taula. I això amb una vista del edifici de Foster per sobre de roofs londinencs. A http://www.timeout.com/london/restaurants/reviews/332.html hi ha un review i un mapa per trobar el lloc. Cerqueu Farringdon Road al costat de Rosebery Avenue. Si no recordo malament Farringdon Road és un gran carrer molt ample per on passa el tren i té ponts?

L’AMBAIXADOR D’ESPANYA A LONDRES

Fa uns anyets vaig passar per davant de l’ambaixada d’Espanya a Londres mentre passejava per una part molt luxosa i verd de Londres.

En pensar en l’ambaixada vaig pensar en burocràcia i mai em vaig imaginar el que avui he sabut que m’ha alegrat moltíssim.

Londres no només és una ciutat molt interessant sinó que a més a més té un ambaixador d’Espanya molt interessant.

Es diu Carles Casajuana i acaba de guanyar el Ramon Llull de novel.la.

L’últim home que parlava català es diu la novel.la guanyadora. La resta és història …

THE.LONDON.CAT has just read the news in Catalan newspaper La Vanguardia and then again at the BBC.

94 and 95 Park Lane are taken by squatters.

In the times we live a lot of people would like to know from this people. So it would be very interesting the people in those mansions could have a place in the Internet to tell us their activities, etc.

As they are now in one of the best places in London it could be interesting they could have in Internet also a privileged place. So I offer WWW.LONDON.CAT to be a place for people in 94 and 95 Park Lane …

Aquests dies Londres és notícia per l’allau de turistes que cercen gangues pels carrers de Londres. Això passa perquè és Nadal, hi ha rebaixes i PERQUÈ LA LLIURA I L’EURO TENEN GAIREBÉ PARITAT!

Aquests darrers anys quan viatjava a Londres sempre multiplicava per 1.5 els preus anglesos per saber quantes lliures em costaven. Hi havia entrepans barats a 1.99 pounds i Internet 1h per 1 pound. Això era barat però ara és ENCARA MÉS BARAT.

M’agradaria que gent que viatja a Londres aquests dies deixés comentaris sobre el que s’han trobat a la capital d’Anglaterra.

MAI M’HAGUÉS IMAGINAT UN LONDRES BARAT!
